This morning we took a new hike by heading up the river towards the low water crossing. It was a great hike along the rock shelves along the river. It’s a great addition to the activities at the Dog Run. Thanks to Scott for a great weekend.

Friends with presents
A friend of Scott’s stopped to give Scott a gift. It was an old accordion he had purchased in Rome in the 1950s. Scott, an accomplished pianist, was able to play a few melodies. I’m sure there are some fun accordion concerts in our future.
Holy Moses
Today we went on the maiden summer voyage on Scott’s party barge named the Holy Moses. Ice chest, lunch, beer, umbrella and noodles. What more can you ask for.
Hiking
We had a great hike through Scott’s property. There were lots of flowers and great views over the river.

There’s a new cat in town
Scott’s cat Gypsy disappeared and is missed. However he has a new cat. This cat is named Aunt Bob after a long series of Scott’s aunts with male names. This cat is very pretty and seems unfazed by new people.
To the river!!
Our first order of business is to hit the river. The sun was setting, the weather was perfect, the river was welcome. It can’t get better than this.

Off to Mason
Tomorrow is the annual pilgrimage to Mason to visit Scott. Hopefully lots of swimming, eating, drinking and fun. Matthew, Robin and I head out at 12:30 for our road trip.
